See For Yourself
View videos of Model Schools in action
Schools across the country are pushing the boundaries of public education with innovative ways of teaching and learning that energize teachers, excite students and raise achievement. Here are three with a strong record of successful replication in public schools: the New Tech Model, the Big Picture Model and the Early College High School Model.
What is a Model School Tour?
No one school model is a perfect fit for every community. Multiple stakeholders will need to agree on the model that fits best. There is no better way to learn about a model than to visit schools where the model has been replicated. When you see a model firsthand, you can visualize the possibilities for your school.
Model School Tours take stakeholders from your district to visit selected models, observe classes and talk with school leaders, teachers, and students.

Go on a Model School Tour
Model School Tours are paid for through philanthropic funding. The tours enable Delaware school representatives to explore outstanding school models being implemented outside this state and judge for themselves whether a model is a good fit for replication here.
In planning a tour, we will work closely with your group to ensure that all critical stakeholders take part and that the schools we visit match the student demographics in your school community.
